Who doesn't want zombies for the holidays?
blog of Carrie Ryan, New York Times bestselling author of the Forest of Hands and Teeth series Tuesday, December 01, 2009Autographed copies of The Forest of Hands and Teeth for the holidays! (or any other time)
In case y'all are interested in a personalized and autographed copy of The Forest of Hands and Teeth, I've partnered with my awesome local indie to make it happen. Park Road Books will be happy to take your order, giftwrap it (I've seen the paper - very pretty!), and ship it to you for the holidays (or any other time!). I live about two miles from the store and love any excuse to stop by (in addition to so many books they have a cute dog!!) so they just call me up and I head over to sign - easy peasy.

More About MeI used to be a lawyer who measured my time by 6 minute increments. For a few years, I was able to devote one or two of those increments to this blog a few times a week. In October 2007 sold my debut novel, THE FOREST OF HANDS AND TEETH, to Delacorte Press (it came out March 10, 2009 and hit the New York Times bestselling list in 2010). In October 2008 I quit my lawyer job and now I'm a full-time writer. My second book, THE DEAD-TOSSED WAVES, is a companion to the first and came out March 9, 2010. The third in the series, THE DARK AND HOLLOW PLACES, released March 22, 2011. My first anthology, FORETOLD: 14 Tales of Prophecy and Prediction, will be out fall 2012 as well as my first middle grade novel, INFINITY RING: DIVIDE AND CONQUER, Book 2 of Scholastic's new multi-author/multi-platform series. Eee! That's fantastic of you and the store, I think I know just who to get it for.
I have this visual of zombies walking around with Christmas hats with candy canes sticking out of their mouths.
Carrie, did you read my mind?! My niece has been looking forward to reading your book (probably because I've, uh, talked it up a bit) and has it on reserve at the library. I wanted to get her a signed copy (she thinks it's sooo cool her aunt actually *knows* the author) for Christmas, so I've been meaning to email you about this. And voila! You've answered my question without my even asking. Thank you!! Hope things are well. :)

Katiebabs--LOL! Thanks for that image ;). It's true that nothing says Merry Christmas quite like hordes of the undead.
Heyy that's an awesome idea ... I'd love to buy one!
Are they available in the UK?????
Awesome. I am SO ordering me one for Christmas. I guess this means I can put my copy up on our list for a giveaway, since I will be getting a new one.
Thanks

On the phone with the store right now. What a cool idea. My kids are going to love this as a Christmas present. Thanks for doing this!
