The Dark and Hollow Places trailer!

Squeee!!!  I'm so SO excited to present the trailer for The Dark and Hollow Places!  This is the short version, 15 seconds (not sure if I can share the reason for that yet... will have to ask but it's VERY VERY exciting).  I think there's going to be a longer version released in the future and I'll definitely link to it when it comes out.

This is a scene taken right from the beginning of the book and I love it!

The Dark and Hollow Places officially released Tuesday and I've been having a total blast on tour, Thanks Chicago and Miami/Ft. Lauderdale (first tour recap post coming soon, I promise!).  Thank you to everyone who has come out to say hi and hung around to chat about our favorite books (I'm keeping a running list of your reading suggestions!).

If you're in Chicago, Cincinnati, Salt Lake City, Phoenix, Los Angeles, Spartanburg, SC or Austin, I'm coming your way soon!  Click here (my blog) or here (booktour.com) for more details!

And of course, you can always pick up a copy of my book at any of the following places:  Random House | IndieBound | Amazon | Barnes and Noble | Borders | Walmart and your local indie!

What do you think of the trailer?

I have to tell you that I loved TDHP! Every word. It was almost painfully unbearable to read toward the end but I had to know what happened! You're an amazing story teller and I can't wait to see what you come up with next!

I loved it! I wish it would've been longer like the others. How the characters expressed different things about their own worlds leant to the perspective, but 15 seconds is better than 0 seconds. Will you be writing another book because honestly these are the only zombie outlet I can handle. Everything else is way too gory, but you give a very nice blend of violence without it being overkill pun intended

Holy crap, that's like ten flavors of awesome all in one bite. I want to see the movie....oh wait, it's not a movie...yet? Loved the book. loved meeting you. All of your trailers rock. Sometimes trailers come off cheesy or B-rated when the "actors" talk but this is fantastic.

I'm just curious, who does your trailers? Delacorte Press? Your agent? Delacorte Press hires a company? Just wondering.

I love love love love love THDP! Catcher and Annah have to be my favorite two characters of the entire series. I just finished and I want to reread it again. I really like this trailer as well! Not how I pictured Catcher, but hey beggars can't be choosers. I can't wait to see these books made into movies. Without Kritsten Stewart....:D

The Dark and Hollow Places was beyond an extraordinary read! At times unbearably sweet and exciting that I couldn't tear my eyes away from the pages! I admire your ability to bring the different worlds of the characters closer together with each book. Some of the scenes in TDHP were scary and I loved it, but I miss the chill and fright I always experience reading about the characters walking in the fenced in roads in the Forest of Hands and Teeth. Maybe we can get to experience that again??
Can't wait to read more as this is my most favorite series which I can always rely on to satisfy my hunger for horror!

Loved, loved, loved The Dark and Hollow Places - an amazing end to one of my favorite series.
Great trailer as well!
And congrats on all the success - there's not a doubt in my mind that giving up Law to write, was possibly the best example of kismet I've ever seen.
I can't wait to read what you come up with next.

I have to say... I LOVED this book. I read it in the span of a day, and while I wasn't a HUGE fan of the first two Forest of Hands and Teeth books- I could NOT put The Dark and Hollow Places down! Carrie Ryan's writing is hard to rival- period. catcher and Annah will remain one of my favorite couples in YA fiction forever! This is an unbelievably fabulous read, and an AWESOME end to the series!
