warm welcome at Jefferson JHS |
Anyway, I'm just popping in today to share some links. Today I kicked off a blog tour with the wonderful New York Times Best Selling author Cynthia Leitich Smith. Read my interview with her here. I also wrote a Big Idea piece for John Scalzi's blog about The Dead-Tossed Waves.

Tomorrow I'll be at Schuler's Books and Music for a pizza party at 6 (yum!!) and on Thursday I'm going to a Zombie Prom (!!!!!) hosted by the Barnes and Noble in Rochester Hills (prom starts around 5 and my talk around 7 I *think*). So can't wait for both of these events - squee!!!
Also, just a note to say that for some reason I'm not able to send mail from my work account (the one listed on my website) away from home so if you're wondering about the radio silence... that's why. Sorry!!
And yes, Dad, I'm still alive :) If you want to know what's going on in between blog posts you can follow my tweets here. I tend to update them more often (easier to tweet on the fly).

So, I guess this is kind of random. Hmm. Well, it can't hurt, I suppose.
I just wanted to say thanks for such an awesome book. I finished Dead Tossed Waves yesterday and ADORED it--seriously, it's making a circle around my friends now. I just wanted to say how cool it was.
Oki doki. Freaky teenage stalker moment over. :P
I have yet to read FOREST OF HANDS AND TEETH and DEAD-TOSSED WAVES - they're next on my to-read list! - but I've definitely been following your blog and your tweets. Glad you didn't get stuck on those trains permanently! =)
I'm excited to meet you in ROchester hills on Thursday!
Carrie, I'm glad you are having such a great time on your tour. I am really looking forward to meeting you this evening at Schuler's in Lansing. I'll try to be there as close to six as possible (I'll be leaving school at 3:15, and it's approximately a three hour drive)but it will probably be closer to 7.
A couple of my high school students asked for pictures and a full report tomorrow - can't wait! :)
See you tonight!
Kel
Ah man, now you're making me homesick. I loved the Borders in Novi. It was a perfect place to stop between appointments when I had sales calls down that way. :wistful sigh: I'm so jealous.
I hope you're having a great time in my old stompin' grounds, and here's to a big bunch of sales from your tour. =o)
I'm reading THE DEAD-TOSSED WAVES right now (and omg squeee! SO GOOD) but I can't bring myself to race through it just yet because I need to know, Carrie- will there be any more books in this series? Or is WAVES the last one? O= Either way I need to savour every line...must not devour it!
Hey Carrie, it's Krys from Schulers. Thanks so much for coming out tonight. You made my night.
Much love.
-Krys
